Fables
I’ll never begrudge A Mask to its Owner,
Masks built the Theatre! And I love a Donor,
But when those same mask becomes worn off the stage,
That cloth becomes threat of your death in a cage,
It may seem like nothing, like gloves or a hat,
But when paired with a badge it’s much more than that,
That cloth on their face becomes notarized cheque,
For holes in your head, or for knees on your neck,
That mask is a vow of oaths to be broken,
Gestapos' Plenipotentiary Token,
A qualified license to take from the Free,
And undertake Any who may disagree,
A promise of force to all those observing,
Comfort for Cowards and Traitors while serving,
That they are above, and shall be forgiven,
As we are below, their mules to be driven,
So never be fooled, it's not for protection,
Its only purpose is killing objection,
Worn with intentions of no reelections,
Ribbed for their pleasures in your genuflections,
And yet Faceless Actors are first to remind,
That an “eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind,”
They sing it in churches, cry our from their pews,
Then cheer on The Faceless each night on the news,
But there lies the problem, a terminal flaw,
The issue with masks being worn by the Law,
It’s not that they’re evil, in part, or in name,
It’s that they suggest that we ALL do the same,
For sooner or later, the Peaceful will wonder,
Whether that father deserved to be under,
That boot, or the mother gunned down on the news,
Was EVER the problem, or was just their ruse,
Those Victims will wonder if THEY can be took,
And there is no recourse, in laws or in book,
For fighting the Faceless in court or on call,
Then why should they bother with mercy to all?
Does an eye for an eye leaves all of us blind?
Well, the actors in masks, sure don’t seem to mind,
As if they’ve forgotten while playing their part,
That Justice has worn her own mask from the start,
So, caution to clowns who mask out of show,
Soldados Con Tenis, who aren’t in the know,
Cuidado,
Cuidado,
o Más Teatro…
